(Access to Coverage of Tobacco Treatment In Our Nation)
Shaping Policies | Improving Health
October 1, 2010 - The Smokefree Women initiative of the National Cancer Institute has launched a new video blog on their Facebook page in an attempt to get real women to talk about their experiences with quitting smoking. This will be a way for women at all stages of their quitting experience, as well as women who have never smoked, to share their ideas and viewpoints while educating the public via social media. A range of events and places will be videotaped by the Smokefree Women team and posted to the Smokefree Women Facebook page. Women will also have the opportunity to ask questions and take quizzes in regards to smoking cessation and addiction. Eventually, Smokefree Women subscribers will be able to interact and submit their own blogs and videos as well.
